Darla Kruser already had plenty of connections to Mt. Lake before adding another role to the list. Kruser, a longtime resident who serves with several local organizations, took over as director of the Mt. Lake Chamber of Commerce on Aug. 15. She sees the position as another opportunity to support a community she and her family have called home for more than a decade. Kruser succeeds Tabitha Garloff, who had been serving as interim chamber director. Garloff stepped down as her responsibilities as assistant EDA director increased. She also serves as Pow Wow director and manages 24 EDA-owned apartment units.
