Robert A. H. Bonkoski, Jr., 85, of Farmington, MN, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025.

Born in St. James, MN, Robert proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1958–1961. He married Beverly Balgaard on November 18, 1967, and together they shared 58 wonderful years.

Robert worked for North Western Refining and spent most of his career with Burlington Northern Railroad. A man of faith, has served as an elder in his church and volunteered at the food shelf at Messiah Lutheran in Lakeville.

He loved fishing, bowling, cheering for the Twins and Vikings, and spending time with family and friends.

Robert is survived by his wife, Beverly; children Julie (Minneapolis), James (Nikki) of Rosemount, and Jennifer (Brian) Lee of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren Nicholas, Jeremy, Hazel, and Sawyer; and six siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Evelyn, and brother Allen.

A celebration of life was held October 17 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Lakeville. Service available online at messiahonline.org/online-worship.
