Naomi Ruth Bottin age 89, of Mountain Lake, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 20, 2023 at her home.
Visitation was Sunday, April 23, 2023, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Sturm Funeral Home in Mountain Lake and Monday, April 24, 2023 from 10 am until 11 am at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Lake.
Service was held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 11 am.
The clergy was Pastor Rick Bremseth. Interment was at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Kimball Township, Minnesota.

Naomi Ruth (Porisch) Bottin was born in Jackson County to parents, Arthur and Erna (Uhlhorn) Porisch on August 22, 1933. She was baptized on September 10, 1933 and confirmed on June 1, 1947 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kimball Township. She attended country school before attending Mountain Lake schools. She married Willie Carl Bottin on April 14, 1951 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The couple raised 6 children: Gene, Cheryl, Joyce, Eileen, Cindy and Dawn. As a mother, Naomi was an example of family values and work ethic. She prioritized her family while still working on the farm, cooking and sewing. She also shared her musical gifts through playing the piano.
Naomi is survived by her children, Gene (Betty) Bottin, Cheryl (Chuck) Engeman, Joyce (Todd) Proechel, Eileen Nesmoe, Cindy (Scott) Leverenz, Dawn (James) Kuchta; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Roger Porisch; sisters, Elaine Anderson, Mary Gohr, along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie; brothers, Richard Porisch, Art Porisch, and sister, Mona Loof.
